Well, hello there!

I'M MISSY. I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE.

There's something powerful I discovered at a young age: We're a lot stronger than we think. Sometimes it just takes steep climbs or stormy weather to help us see it.

For most of my life, running has been my anchor. My lifeline. Not because I was fast or good at it (I definitely didn't inherit that beautiful running form 😉), but because it taught me something I could carry with me:

That I could do hard things… And so can you.

At 11 years old, after watching runners cross a marathon finish line, I decided I wanted to run one too. Not for a medal. Not to prove anything to anyone else. And definitely not because I thought running was fun (trust me, I didn't). But because after a traumatic experience left me drowning in anxiety, I couldn't name or control, running became the one thing that let me feel my pain and process it… instead of just carrying it.

Something about those runners told me it was possible to feel alive again.

Mile after mile, running became my teacher. My way through. My reminder that I was capable of more than I thought. Since that first 26.2-mile race, I've faced trials I didn't think I could survive. And every single time, running taught me something I needed to know. Not just about endurance, but about life, resilience, and what it means to keep going.

That's why I wrote UNBREAKABLE SOLE.

The 26.2 principles in this book are about navigating whatever life throws at you with strength, hope, and heart.

That scared 11-year-old girl is still sometimes in me. But she also reminds me that we have more in us than we think… And that the hard miles don't break you– They build you.

Maybe you've never run a marathon. Maybe you don't even like to run. That's perfectly okay. If you've ever felt anxious, stuck, or like you're just trying to make it through... if you've wondered how to turn pain into strength or how to quiet the noise in your head... this book is for you.
